Fall 2010 Milan Fashion Week in Cathy Horyn’s opinion was “an eternity of bad clothes crammed into four days”. Times’ fashion critic called fall 2010 Fashion Week in Milan the organizational disaster. It is so because of the one big collapse.

Sunday night January 24, Paris Fashion Week 2010 started in the world capital of haut-couture – Paris. During the fashion week millions of critics and fashion connoisseurs saw women and men spring-summer 2010 collections.

Paris fashion week 2010 welcomed world known fashion houses Chanel, Dior, Armani, Valentino, Jean Paul Gaultier, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent as well as John Galliano and Karl Lagerfeld catwalks.

This year Louis Vuitton designer Paul Helbers presented men’s collection in the typical Venetian style. Jean Paul Gaultier found his inspiration in boxing. Dior men’s collection was also given an enthusiastic welcome among both spectators and fashion experts. With the baggy short pants and high boots the line was actual and fresh.

October 28-31 Latvian capital is to stage its biennial fashion festival. Organized by the Baltic fashion federation, the Riga Fashion Week October 2009 (RFW) made Riga fashion capital of the Baltic region.

Now in its sixth year it provides an excellent platform for promoting fashion trends by Baltic designers and international brands for spring-summer 2010. The event includes usual fashion catwalk shows, exhibitions and parties, to entertain visitors.

In this edition the RFW is to present the famous world fashion designers. New collections were presented on 29 October in Reval Hotel Ridzene by SALT (Latvia), CristinaEffe (Italy) and Diana Denissova (Estonia). Read More »
