Sarah Jessica Parker has been appointed to present the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) Board of Directors’ Special Tribute Award to the late Alexander McQueen. Five months left after the couturier Alexander McQueen was found dead (apparently suicide attempt) at his London apartment in February.

“He was talented well beyond his years and the seriousness and unrivalled talent which he applied to his work is in bountiful display year after year and collection after collection,” Sarah Parker said expressed her opinion after the designer’s death in February.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s first experience of tartan wearing was in 2003. There Sarah Jessica attended the Costume Institute Gala as the designer’s partner. The second time took place on 2006′s Costume Institute Benefit, when both the actress and Alexander McQueen appear in tartans. Moreover McQueen dressed Parker for numerous red carpets.

Now we will see if she is ready to continue the tartan theme on 7th June at the Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York.

On the Alexander McQueen Tribute Parker will share the stage with Caroline Kennedy who will present the Eleanor Lambert Award to US Vogue‘s fashion director Tonne Goodman. On this day people could see also Matt Tyrnauer, who directed the film for Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award honoree Michael Kors and Richard Press, who made the clip for Eugenia Sheppard Award honoree Kim Hastreiter.
