Lily Allen a pop singer known for her consistent style and getting her look spot-on announced during an interview on Radio One that she plans to put music on hiatus “for at least one or two years” to open her own designer clothing fashion boutique.

It is not the first time Lily Allen breaks into the fashion business. She already has her collections for a high street store New Look back in 2007 entitled Lily Loves, a jewellery range, and a Chanel campaign under her belt. It is interesting, if the girl is ready to sacrifice her music career. May be cloth designing will bring her more…satisfaction. Both spiritual and material.

lily-allen-1Lily Allen is going to start the fashion business with her sister. Lily Allen fashion boutique would be called Lucy In Disguise. But it won’t be a usual run-of-the-mill clothing store, like most pop stars are eager to open. Instead it would offer a range of designer pieces items that customers could rent out at a fraction of the cost.

“It’s about making fashion democratic,” she conveys. “That’s the idea behind it. It’s about getting really nice clothes but letting people rent them for affordable prices so they can go out and feel like a million dollars and it won’t cost them a million dollars.”

Rather generous idea. I hope to find there some vintage dresses in a perfect Lily Allen clothing style and would be surely eager to get one…for rent! What do you think?
