Great models of the 90-s – How are they doing
Jan.16, 2012
In 2012 the renaissance of the great models of the 90-s starts with Roberto Cavalli’s ads campaign, shot by Steven Meisel. The shot involves the legend of the black beauty at the catwalk – Black Panther Naomi Campbell. Among other taking part models are Karen Elson, Daphne Groeneveld and Kristen McMenamy.
Thirty and forty year old Campbell, Elson McMenamy gives a workshop session to 17-year old Groeneveld. Is this a bold decision to watch such a contrast between the teenage models and those luminaries? What the video here and judge for yourself.

Naomi’s presence is in same way a desire of the 90-s models to say: “Hallo, we’re here, we’re alive, don’t forget us, we can still do our best and even show how to do it to others!” and they were heard as 1990s’ biggest models become prevalent in past 2-3 months.
In November 2011 great models of the 90-s Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Helena Christensen and Yasmin Le Bon appeared in music-video for the band from Britain Duran Duran which single is called “Girl Panic”. In her 41 Campbell was also chosen as the face of Pinko’s (Italian brand) Spring 2012 advertising campaign, and appeared on United Kingdom Harper’s Bazaar issue December 2011 alongside her video co stars.

Meantime the great model Le Bon was recently announced as Joseph Ribkoff’s Spring 2012 collection face.
